For CANOA to successfully address the challenges of rebuilding our Nation’s Clans and Communities,
to be resilient to the institutions of Law , via Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3 of The Uncited Sates Constituion of 1776, while also addressing the Political arcane policies and covert fraud that drives the socio-political genocide by way of forced assimilation. CANOA must be purposeful to create an infrastructure of Accountability through our Grand Council for the “We The People”.
Accountability is integral to this Nations Grand Council as the GC is the Nations governing body. Therefore our government must responsibly use its resources to provide effective services that meet the needs of the people.
It is important to keep in mind that our government must always answer to the people they serve.
Like any other government there are different departments, and there can be a wide variance between them. However, accountability measures will help departments meet goals and work together. Moreover, when we bring accountability to each member and each department we can recognize problems and continually improve.
However, accountability in local government is about more than just efficient internal operations. Ultimately, our Grand Council and government accountability is about maintaining the trust between council officials and its citizens.
Therefore it is imperative to hold and keep the door of communications open between the two.
CANOA will bring together its Nations, Clans and various councils for the wellbeing of our aborigine blood kinfolk (Olom) as a collective. We will advance to enforce the trust obligations owed to us via an aligned coalition of Nations. CANOA members are mindful that all must be empowered to ensure that each department is devoted to the return and clean up our Lands, Air, and Waterways in an equitable fashion through this accountability mechanism.
